Clint Stone is a studio artist and teacher. He received his Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Texas Tech University in 2010 and actively participates in national and international art exhibitions. His work has been featured in publications as ‘New American Paintings.’ The visible artistic process and immediacy in his work is inspired by the vast openness of rural areas, large metropolises, and bustling cities of the southwest region. From working in his studio, to on-site plein air painting, he observes and absorbs the landscape, movement, light, space, and other transformations taking place around him. An amalgamation of experience, memory, and observation, realized through the application of additive and subtractive marks on the surface of his paintings. His artwork gives him a heightened sense of his surroundings and self.
